My name is Mark and i live in the North East of England. I'm married with 2 kids and I've had Minis all of my driving life. My mechanical background started when i left school and completed a HND Motor Vehicle course at a local college. I then went on to become a diesel fitter at a local heavy haulage firm. This gave me an excellent understanding of motor vehicles, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics along with welding, fabricating and machining.
After 13 years i left an joined another outfit which inspects vehicles for safety. This advanced my knowledge of engineering and i now have a fully kitted out workshop inc a lathe, milling machine, and welding equipment.
My previous minis have included a 998 road rally car, 1380 stage rally car, 1100 autotest special and my current 180BHP Honda VTEC converted mini.
I've been involved in motorsport since leaving school from the ranks of marshelling, competing and now organising.
Last year i've started a sprint championship for the 16v miniclub which is gaining interest, this is what has inspired me to commence my new project.
We (The wife) is also trying to get an online store up and running selling nuts and bolts etc. I think it's to keep her busy as she has not got enough house work to do.
